Job Type: Full-time, Permanent   

Hours: 50 hours per week, Monday – Friday 07.00-17.30 

About the Role: 

Running a team within our Refurbishment department, the role will focus on health and safety compliance, ensuring processes are followed correctly, vehicles are being moved and organised effectively and to ensure that the shift is running to maximum efficiency. The ideal candidate will:

  • Carry out various hands-on high-level leadership tasks within a fast-moving environment 
  • Work closely with shift supervisors in setting weekly targets through regular planning sessions. 
  • Communicate and implicate work instructions effectively to the team. 
  • Motivate and focus staff to achieve throughput and cycle time targets 
  • "Right first time" quality assurance that maintains our high level of service to our customers 
  • Sign off and verify completed work electronically. 
  • Identify and report staff training requirements
  • Undertake the exterior polishing of vehicles using the correct materials and tools 
  • Carry out touch in’s where needed or required 
  • Prioritise work efficiently to meet deadlines ensuring awareness of urgent vehicles and due out dates 
  • Ensure there are no defects on work produced  
  • Adhere to all requirements for hazardous or non-hazardous waste disposal 
  • Maintain a clean and organised work environment

About you:

  • Proven background in the motor industry or similar in a team leader/management role
  • Ability to motivate and mentor 
  • Have proven experience in refurbishment production targets  
  • A Focused and motivated individual with a desire to progress and develop. 
  • A keen eye for detail and a sound understanding of right first time 
  • The ability to communicate and seamlessly implement set changes 
  • Strong communication skills with a mature and professional approach 
  • A flexible attitude to working hours 
  • ATA/NVQ /City and guilds certification would be advantageous but not essential 
  • Exceptional interpersonal skills to overcome team challenging situations 
  • Maintain a tidy and professional working environment with a special emphasis on health and safety 
  • IT skills essential
